Donald Trump is at his Twitter account again, of course, complaining that he should be able to rule the country without input from the judicial and legislative branches. He thrives on chaos, does the unexpected, and starts the day off trying to dominate the news. Today he is bigger than the Super Bowl.
In the early morning hours on Saturday, he sent off this tweet:
‘WHEN A COUNTRY IS NO LONGER ABLE TO SAY WHO CAN, AND WHO CANNOT COME IN & OUT, ESPECIALLY FOR REASONS OF SAFETY & SECURITY – BIG TROUBLE!’
He is trying to move the direction of the conversation from his secret executive order to revoke over 100,000 visas to an argument for why he should have the power of a complete authoritarian.
Trump signed his executive order on immigration and travel a week ago, according to his government attorneys, as they defended his action in a Virginia courtroom. Although, press secretary Sean Spicer claimed that only 106 people were affected by the new guy in the Oval Office’s act.
When the judge asked the total number of people involved, the attorneys said 100,000, according to CNN. The president’s overreach completely stunned Americans. Fortunately, the states are pushing back against Trump’s power grab.
