Despite reports that Donald Trump planned to live tweet during James Comey’s testimony on Thursday, for once Trump followed the advice of many people worldwide and refrained from doing so. Unfortunately, Trump’s son, Donald Jr., who has also been known to post highly insensitive tweets, pinch hit for his father and took the metaphoric Twitter wheel, instead.
Not to be outdone by his namesake, Trump’s Twitter respite didn’t last long; he was up early Friday morning to grace the world with his thoughts on Thursday’s hearing — specifically those he feels are his allies within the media. Although alluding to others he felt were on his side, Trump praised one network by name:
Naturally, other Twitter users had lots to say in response to Trump’s perception that Fox News’ reporting was somehow the shining star. Some people redirected Trump back to the paramount issue: the fact that Comey called Trump a liar during open hearing.
One person pointed out a major issue with Fox News’ so-called reporting.
Others addressed the general foolishness of Trump’s tweet.

An alternate reality.
As an additional show of his lack of focus and dedication to the American people, Donald Trump also tweeted that Comey’s testimony provided Trump with “complete vindication.” Unfortunately to those looking to Trump for leadership, it appears that his energy and commitment are only to himself and how he wants people to believe he is thought of.
