The president tweeted what can only be described as his one gazillionth attack on the media to kick off Saturday, and it’s as ludicrous as ever.
It’s a purposeful ridiculousness though, because through tweeting such messages as this one Trump keeps himself the center of attention for both the nation at large and, in a different way, for his followers. Trump does not give a damn about much more then keeping himself the center of attention.
Anyway, he wrote, “Don’t believe the main stream (fake news) media. The White House is running VERY WELL. I inherited a MESS and am in the process of fixing it.”Don’t believe the main stream (fake news) media. The White House is running VERY WELL. I inherited a MESS and am in the process of fixing it.
Sure, Trump would like to blame the media for the problems facing his presidential administration, but it’s really not a matter of believing them or not in forming conclusions about whether or not the Trump White House is running smoothly. (He made basically this exact claim about having “inherited a mess” at his recent press conference.)
Most any objective observer objectively looking at the White House would come to the same narrative as is found in the mainstream media — the Trump White House is a wreck.
Just look at the fact that his National Security Adviser was forced to resign just a few weeks into Trump’s presidential administration. That is a fact. It’s not a matter of believing the media or not.
All of this is besides the fact that it’s just plain disturbing that the president would assume on himself the place to tell Americans what to believe or not. That’s psychological manipulation 101.
