After being asked by many to put up or shut up, including Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, you would think President Donald Trump would shut his citrus meringue pie hole when it comes to the idea that he lost the popular vote to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton because of voter fraud. He believes in his orange noggin that over 3 million illegal votes were orchestrated in her favor.
Consequently, the president sat down in his first interview since taking the oath of office with ABC’s David Muir. Muir questioned the president about his accusations of massive voter fraud. Trump explained:
‘You have people that are registered who are dead, who are illegals, who are in two states. You have people registered in two states. They are registered in New York and New Jersey. They vote twice. There are millions of votes in my opinion.
He did not note, however, that his daughter Tiffany Trump, is registered in two states. Oops.
Muir pressed on asking about the investigation Trump has called for and noted that everything Trump has presented at this point has been debunked. Trump interrupted Muir saying, “Take a look at the Pew Report.”
That’s when Muir dropped the bomb on Trump. He stated:
‘I called the author of the Pew report last night. He told me they found no evidence of voter fraud.’
Apparently, that struck a nerve with Trump, who then went off on a tangent about, you guessed it, the media! He spewed:
‘Really? Excuse me. Then why did he write the report? Look at the Pew Report. Then he’s groveling again. You know, I always talk about the reporters that grovel when they want to write something you want to hear, but not necessarily millions of people want to hear, or have to hear.
We’re going to launch an investigation to find out… and then the next time… and I will say this. Of those votes cast, none of them come to me. None of them come to me. They will all be for the other side. None of them come to me. But when you look at the people that are registered, dead, illegal, and two states and in some cases maybe three states, we have a lot to look into’
Additionally, Trump forgot to mention Steve Bannon (his Senior Counselor) and Steve Mnuchin, Trump’s pick for US Secretary of the Treasure are registered in multiple states to vote.
