On Thursday, two agents from the Secret Service are reportedly being investigated for allegedly taking selfies with the eight-year-old grandson of President Donald Trump while he was sleeping.
According to Mother Jones, a source told the news organization that the incident took place while the agents who were assigned to guard Trump’s grandson, Donald Trump III, were driving the boy to Manhattan, New York from Westchester County.
The source said that Trump’s grandson woke up to the agents taking photos of him and that he “freaked out.” An investigation was prompted after Trump III went home and told his family about the incident.
The Secret Service said in a statement:
‘The US Secret Service is aware of a matter involving two of our agents and one of our protectees. Our Office of Professional Responsibility will always thoroughly review a matter to determine the facts and to ensure proper, long-standing protocols and procedures are followed. The Secret Service would caution individuals to not jump to conclusions that may grossly mischaracterize the matter’
This incident also comes at a time where an intruder was able to make a hole in the outside perimeter of the White House and accomplished getting really close to the north portico entrance of the White House.
Sounds like the Secret Service may be slacking a bit?
The agents who were involved in taking the pictures of Trump’s grandson are not being investigated for any criminal behavior, but for abandoning their post while they were supposed to be protecting the President’s grandson.
