Murder Mystery: Help solve deadly 4th of July beating of Good Samaritan at Long Beach

BEACH

KILLERS WANTED IN PACIFIC COUNTY —
One of the best and busiest places to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend in our state is down at Long Beach in Pacific County.

Thousands hit the sandy 28-mile stretch to party, celebrate our nation’s independence, and enjoy the fireworks.

But last year — the beach became the scene of a brutal murder.

36 year old Jeff Beach was beaten on July 3rd, while detectives think he was sticking up for some women who were being harassed or abused. He was airlifted to hospital where he died the next day — the Fourth of July.

A year later, you can only imagine the heartache this holiday weekend brings his family and friends — especially knowing his killers have still not been caught. So now, Crime Stoppers and Jeff Beach’s family is giving anyone with information on the case a big incentive to come forward. “There are two rewards on this case: The Crime Stoppers reward is a standard $1,000, not up to, because it’s a homicide we’re going to pay you $1,000 if you have information that leads to an arrest and charge,” says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “There’s also an additional $2,500 reward that’s been raised by the family and friends of the victim, so you have $3,500 right now that’s set aside for this case. The reason we’re running it right now is, it’s exactly a year ago that this case happened, so there’s going to be more beach parties, people are going to watch television down there. It’s a good chance the people that were there last year that were hoping to forget it, it’ll jog their memory. It isn’t just an assault. We’re talking about a homicide. Somebody died because somebody did something really stupid.”

The photo of Jeff in a sports uniform is because he was down there for a softball tournament being played over the holiday weekend.

Detectives say he was attacked behind a beach trail near 120th place, that’s near the ‘Sunrise Pacific Holiday RV Park.’

Jeff’s parents are having to live with the loss of their son and it’s time to get them some justice — someone knows who the killers are and it’s time to come forward.

The call to Crime Stoppers is anonymous — no one will know your name — and again, that $3,500 cash reward will be yours if your information leads to the arrest and charge of anyone involved in Jeff’s deadly beating.
