Happy birthday, Mr. President!
President Donald Trump turned a year older Wednesday, which also happens to be Flag Day. The oldest president to be elected in American history, he is now 71.
Born in New York City on June 14, 1946, Trump is helping redefine what 70-year-olds in an era of longevity can do in what would normally be considered their “retirement years.” According to AOL News, Trump says he only gets four or five hours a night, yet seems to be a ball of energy during the day.
His daughter, 35-year-old Ivanka, shared an adorable picture of her and her dad on Twitter, writing in the caption: “Happy Birthday to my incredible father @realDonaldTrump. I hope that the year to come is your best yet!”

Later on Wednesday, in what has become a become a turbulent day in our nation’s Capitol, Ivanka addressed the shooting attack on a group of Republican congressmen’s baseball practice in nearby Alexandria, Virginia, writing: “Our thoughts and prayers are with Rep. Scalise and others injured in this morning’s terrible incident. Grateful to the first responders.”
