Is there an Islamic State threat for Americans celebrating the Fourth of July weekend in the United States? According to chatter on ISIS terrorist channels, yes. Site Intel, an international terrorism watchdog group, reports that jihadists have warned of alleged attacks at LAX, JFK, and London Heathrow airports this weekend.

In a recent video “celebrating” the Orlando terrorist attack at a gay night club, ISIS threatened not only its usual targets of New York and Washington DC, but also San Francisco and Las Vegas.

Last year, similar threats were made by the Islamic State when the group called upon individuals to carry out acts of violence on their own.

ISIS has been especially active recently during the Islamic holy month of “Ramadan.” Ramadan is the time that Muslims believe that the Quran was revealed to Mohammed. It ends on July 6 with Eid al-Fitr. However, the Islamic State will still remain a threat.
