Police say Sebastian Alonzo was attempting to rape a child when an unidentified Tennessee father stopped him.

A Tennessee father helped prevent a heinous crime by stopping a man during the attempted rape a 7-year-old child, according to authorities.

The unidentified dad detained Sebastian Alonzo, 21, on Monday, police in Hendersonville told the Daily News.

It is not immediately clear what the man did to stop the act, though Alonzo did sport what appeared to be a black eye in his booking photo.

Police said that the suspect had been staying at the home with the victim and father.

Alonzo was charged with attempted rape of a child and is currently being held on $250,000 bond.
