Whomever advised, encouraged, and/or otherwise allowed Donald Trump to wage his war on the media and the American intelligence community, are fools.

Regardless of whether the media’s unfavorable perspective of Trump is as a result of some conspiracy to bring down a person who has re-ignited deep-seeded hate and division in this country, or a natural consequence of his actions, is frankly irrelevant. The press is doing a great service to America by ensuring that what the Trump administration is trying to do in the dark, comes to light. The same, can be said for the American intelligence community.

On Thursday The New York Times reported that Attorney General, Jeff Sessions lied under oath during his confirmation hearing. He claimed he’d had no contact with Russian government officials. In reality, the Sessions-led U.S. Justice Department has confirmed that Sessions has had at least two conversations with Ambassador Sergey I. Kislyak.

The disgraced Michael Flynn and now Jeff Sessions have confirmed what many parents, grandparents, and others tell children all through the rearing process: Birds of a feather, flock together. To that end, should anyone be surprised that it is now being reported that two more Trump staffers are said to have had contact with Russian officials?
