Revelations earlier in the day that FBI Director James Comey grossly misstated the facts regarding former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the email scandal that very well may have cost her the presidential election in 2016 have now led to Comey being relieved of his job.
According to Politico, White House press secretary Sean Spicer announced on Tuesday that
The president has accepted the recommendation of the Attorney General and the deputy Attorney General regarding the dismissal of the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.’
Full details will follow, but it appears that Secretary Clinton may be at least somewhat vindicated after Comey’s mishandling of the email scandal.
