A 51-year-old Pennsylvania man faces multiple charges after allegedly fathering two children with a teenage girl who was “gifted” to him by her Amish parents, according to police in Bucks County.

Police say they found 12 girls inside the home of Lee Kaplan, 51.

Police say they found 12 girls inside the home of Lee Kaplan, 51.

Investigators following up on a complain filed with Children Youth Services found 12 children, ranging in age from 6 months to 18 years old, living in the home of Lee Kaplan, authorities said.

“I just wasn’t gonna let go,” Jen Betz of Feasterville told WPVI. “I saw a couple girls last week standing in the driveway. They just looked unhappy and sad and again in the blue dresses, and I’ve been telling my husband for years something isn’t right, something isn’t right.”

Kaplan allegedly began having sex with one of the girls four years ago, when she was 14, according to police. She was believed to have given birth to two of the other children — one now 6 months old, the other 3 years old.

One of the girls rescued from the house along Old Street Road was apparently “gifted” to Kaplan by a couple going through financial hardship, WGAL reports.

The parents, Daniel and Savilla Stoltzfus, who are believed to be Amish, admitted they gave away their daughter after Kaplan “researched the legality of it on the internet,” police said.

Savilla Stoltzfus told detectives she knew Kaplan was having sex with her daughter, but didn’t take her from the home, according to a criminal complaint. Both were arrested by police.

“Right now we’re coordinating with authorities in Lancaster County to interview these children in a safe environment,” said Lower Southampton Police Lt. John Krimmel told WPVI.

Kaplan faces charges of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of a minor and unlawful endangerment, according to WPMT.

Kaplan and the girl’s parents were all be held on $1 million bail.
